Tampa Juniors survives penalties, beats Space Coast Hurricanes, 4-1

Tampa Juniors' penalty kill was superb, as Tampa Juniors survived multiple penalties to beat Space Coast Hurricanes, 4-1.

Tampa Juniors was paced by Joona Huunanmaa, who registered one goal. Huunanmaa scored 5:31 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Tampa Juniors. Paul Lochner assisted on the tally.

Tampa Juniors kept Space Coast Hurricanes' goalie busy throughout the game, and Parker Bonis made 28 saves on 32 shots. Tampa Juniors was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 34 penalty minutes.

Ben Winter also scored for Tampa Juniors. More assists for Tampa Juniors came via Logan Garst, who had two and Scott Lemire, Joshua Feeley, and David Cross, who each chipped in one.

Space Coast Hurricanes could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Space Coast Hurricanes puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. Space Coast Hurricanes could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Space Coast Hurricanes was led by Jamie Chilcott, who scored the team's only goal. Chilcott scored on the power play 12:23 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Space Coast Hurricanes. A tripping penalty on Winter had put Space Coast Hurricanes on the power play. Jack Musil picked up the assist.

Tampa Juniors' Nicholas Malvin stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Tampa Juniors registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Space Coast Hurricanes registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
