Potomac Patriots falls to Atlanta Jr. Knights in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Atlanta Jr. Knights' Alexander Goodhue scored 25 seconds into overtime to beat Potomac Patriots, 3-2 (OT).

Goodhue had two goals to lead Atlanta Jr. Knights to victory.

Atlanta Jr. Knights kept Potomac Patriots' goalie busy throughout the game, and Dustyn Moyer made 36 saves on 39 shots.

Aaron Blaker also scored for Atlanta Jr. Knights. More assists for Atlanta Jr. Knights came via Jordan Simmonds, who had two and Derek Makimaa and Aaron Dusek, who each chipped in one.

Potomac Patriots put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Atlanta Jr. Knights to score on any of its five power plays.

Potomac Patriots was helped by Nicholas Gray, who had one goal. Gray scored on the power play 4:20 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Potomac Patriots earned a power play opportunity when Jeremy Bost was put in the box for holding. Kevin McDonald assisted on the tally. Potomac Patriots additionally got points from Nathan Marks, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Potomac Patriots received assists from James Vuillemot and Alexander Grose, who contributed one a piece.

Brandon Haase made 21 saves for Atlanta Jr. Knights on 23 shots. Atlanta Jr. Knights ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Potomac Patriots incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
