Palm Beach Hawks downs Space Coast Hurricanes in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Palm Beach Hawks pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over Space Coast Hurricanes on a clutch goal by Justin Anderson.

Jake Simons was all over the ice for Palm Beach Hawks, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Simons scored the first of his two goals at 8:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Palm Beach Hawks. Joseph Richardson picked up the assist. Simons' next tally made the score 4-3 Palm Beach Hawks with 15:27 left in the third period. Palm Beach Hawks had gained a power play chance when Andrew Bathgate was whistled for slashing. Anderson provided the assist.

Space Coast Hurricanes fell victim to a deadly Palm Beach Hawks power play, which ripped Space Coast Hurricanes for four goals.

The Palm Beach Hawks penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 12 minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. Palm Beach Hawks had been averaging 16.0 minutes in penalties per game. Palm Beach Hawks forced Space Coast Hurricanes goalie Parker Bonis to work between the pipes, taking 61 shots.
