Huge game by Musil boosts Space Coast Hurricanes over Palm Beach Hawks, 7-4

Space Coast Hurricanes' Jack Musil had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing four assists in his team's 7-4 win over Palm Beach Hawks.

Musil's tallies came at 7:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Space Coast Hurricanes and 6:27 into the third to make the score 5-2 Space Coast Hurricanes.

Palm Beach Hawks was unable to stop Space Coast Hurricanes from sending pucks towards the net, and Space Coast Hurricanes eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. Space Coast Hurricanes surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Space Coast Hurricanes has scored at the pace of 3.0 goals per game during the current campaign. Space Coast Hurricanes struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Palm Beach Hawks to score three power play goals on five chances. Space Coast Hurricanes was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time.

Space Coast Hurricanes also got points from Garrett Gunski, who also had one goal and one assist and Crissostomos Villarreal, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Griffin Rogers also scored for Space Coast Hurricanes. Other players who recorded assists for Space Coast Hurricanes were Johnny Murray, who had two, Andrew Bathgate, who had three, and Jamie Chilcott and Brian Hurley, who each chipped in one.

The Palm Beach Hawks penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. Palm Beach Hawks surpassed its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. Palm Beach Hawks' offense rang up 31 shots on Space Coast Hurricanes' net.

Palm Beach Hawks was led by Justin Anderson, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Anderson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 8:11 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Palm Beach Hawks earned a power play opportunity when Villarreal was put in the box for cross checking. CJ Hoy picked up the assist. Anderson's next tally on the power play made the score 2-1 Palm Beach Hawks with 16:31 left in the second period. Matt Geib provided the assist. Palm Beach Hawks additionally got points from Brandon Desrosiers, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Hoy, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Palm Beach Hawks came via Jeremy Canonica, who had one and Jake Simons, who had two.

Parker Bonis recorded 27 saves for Space Coast Hurricanes. Space Coast Hurricanes registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Shayne Dietl made 37 saves for Palm Beach Hawks on 40 shots.
