Huge game by Vocino boosts Uxbridge over Lakefield, 8-2Uxbridge Arena Fri, Feb 01, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Joey Vocino was all over the ice for the Uxbridge Bruins, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Uxbridge's 8-2 win over the Lakefield Chiefs. Vocino's tallies came on the power play at 2:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge and 12:01 into the second to make the score 3-1 Uxbridge.The Bruins stifled Lakefield's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Uxbridge surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Bruins average 4.1 goals per contest. Uxbridge could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 48 minutes in penalties during the game. Uxbridge additionally got points from Patrick Morgan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Callum Lynch, who also had one goal and two assists. Lakefield was helped by Tyler Roy, who finished with one goal. Roy scored 5:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lakefield. Hayden Lambe provided the assist. Curtis Bolton also scored for Lakefield. In addition, Lakefield received assists from Ryan Anderson, who had one. The Chiefs registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
