Undaunted by a four-goal deficit, the Georgina Ice battled back to claim a 6-4 victory over the Port Perry Mojacks. Georgina never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Ice was down 4-0 after a power play goal by Port Perry's Lee Taylor at 18:03 in the first period. Georgina knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Cam Russel at 6:15 in the third period. The Ice scored the game winner at 12:03 in the third period on a goal by Russel. Georgina was paced by Tanner Allen, who tallied one goal and one assist. The Ice's goal total was higher than their season average. Georgina averages 3.2 goals per game. The defensemen of the Ice were also effective in the Mojacks' zone, and came away with two goals. Georgina found itself short handed often, totaling 34 penalty minutes and allowing 12 power plays. Georgina also got points from Scott Sandercock, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
