Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Uxbridge Bruins defeated the Lakefield Chiefs in a shootout 3-2 (2-1 SO).

The shootout lasted for 10 attempts between the teams. Lakefield got a shootout goal from Derek Manley. Uxbridge's other shootout goal was scored by Matthew Allen.

The Bruins were helped by Allen, who grabbed one goal. Allen scored 11:41 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. Korey Brand assisted on the tally. Uxbridge also got a goal from Shane Smith as well. More assists for Uxbridge came via Carter Vahey, Steve Doutsis, and Tim Bierema, who each chipped in one.

The Chiefs stifled Uxbridge's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lakefield's offense operated below it season average. The Chiefs average 4.6 goals per game. Lakefield's offense rang up 44 shots on the Bruins' net.

The Chiefs were led by Eric Shewell, who had one goal and one assist. Shewell scored 18:23 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Gregory Jesse picked up the assist. Jordan Walsh also scored for Lakefield. In addition, Lakefield received assists from Manley, who had two.

Greg Zupan rejected 42 shots on goal for Uxbridge. The Bruins incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Zach Wainman recorded 23 saves for Lakefield. The Chiefs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
