Uxbridge survives Little Britain comeback, wins 3-2Little Britain Sat, Dec 15, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Uxbridge Bruins survived a determined comeback attempt by the Little Britain Merchants on the way to a 3-2 win. Uxbridge made the score 3-0 on a goal by Mike Ramsey at 18:26 in the second period, and Little Britain got as close as 3-2 when Kurtis Moore scored 5:50 into the third period. The Bruins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Little Britain power plays. Uxbridge forced the Merchants goalie Garrett Haden to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. The Bruins were helped by Dylan Locke, who tallied one goal. Locke scored 4:30 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Uxbridge. Wyatt Trainer assisted on the tally. Patrick Morgan also scored for Uxbridge. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Marco Mastrangelo, Dylan Ross, Justin Bean, and Keegan Cairns, who each chipped in one. Uxbridge was unable to stop Little Britain from sending pucks towards the net, and the Merchants eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Little Britain was helped by Mitch Berzins, who finished with one goal. Berzins scored 2:22 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Uxbridge. Mark Vasey provided the assist. More assists for Little Britain came via Mitch Thurston, who had one. Brandon Francey recorded 31 saves for the Bruins. Uxbridge incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Merchants' Haden stopped 39 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Little Britain ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. For the Merchants, Mitch Phinney was ejected from the game.
