Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Port Perry Mojacks defeated the Little Britain Merchants in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO). The shootout lasted for 10 attempts between the teams.Port Perry was led by Logan Evans, who had one goal and one assist. Evans scored on the power play 15:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Perry. The Mojacks earned a power play opportunity when Nate Huhges was put in the box for tripping. Nick Clark assisted on the tally. Port Perry also got a goal from Kyler Challis as well. Other players who recorded assists for Port Perry were Matt Johnston and Nick Loyst, who contributed one a piece. Little Britain was helped by Paul Hennessey, who registered one goal. Hennessey scored on the power play 10:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Merchants had gained a power play chance when Ryan Beattie was whistled for tripping. Mitch Phinney picked up the assist. Mac Beaton also scored for Little Britain. More assists for Little Britain came via Scott Mcguire, who had one. Jeff Julien rejected 14 shots on goal for Port Perry. The Mojacks totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Port Perry ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dakota Watson was ejected from the game. Garrett Haden recorded 21 saves for Little Britain.
