In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Clarington Eagles escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Uxbridge Bruins.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Dylan Howorko secured the win for Clarington with a goal in the third period.

Howorko was all over the ice for the Eagles, as he finished with two goals in the win.

Clarington also got a goal from Blane Gaudon as well. More assists for Clarington came via Rory Craddock, who had two and Cody Kean, Dan Michel, Liam McDonnell, and Brad Down, who each chipped in one.

Uxbridge was held below its usual level of production. The Bruins average 4.5 goals per game.

Uxbridge was helped by Keegan Cairns, who tallied one goal. Cairns scored 4:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Uxbridge. Billy McBeth also scored for Uxbridge. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Korey Brand and Raymond Auld, who contributed one a piece.

Clarington's Brandon Green stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Eagles incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Wayne Fryer rejected 25 shots on goal for the Bruins. Uxbridge incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
