The Little Britain Merchants had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-5 win over the Georgina Ice. Mitch Phinney had two goals and one assist to lead Little Britain. Phinney scored the first of his two goals at 9:56 into the first period to make the score 4-2 Little Britain. T.J. Doran assisted on the tally. Phinney's next tally made the score 7-3 Little Britain with 2:58 left in the second period. Doran provided the assist. The Merchants surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Little Britain has scored at the pace of 3.4 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of the Merchants were also effective in Georgina's zone, and came away with two goals. Little Britain additionally got points from stuart fierheller, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Ryan Hunter, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Little Britain included Quincy McIvor, who had two and Cam Palmer, Mark Vasey, and Greg ONeil, who each put in one. More assists for Little Britain came via Paul Hennessey, Jesse Beers, and Cash Cormier, who each chipped in one and Kurtis Moore and Mitch Berzins, who contributed three a piece. The Ice were helped by AJ Killens, who racked up one goal and one assist. Killens scored 6:19 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Little Britain. Scott Sandercock assisted on the tally. Georgina also got points from Mitch McLaughlin, who also had one goal and one assist, Dylan Kovacs, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Vito Jessop, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Georgina also got a goal from Luke Vanderkooy as well. In addition, Georgina received assists from Brandon Basler, who had two and Mark McKey and Tanner Allen, who each chipped in one. Neil Pittock rejected 19 shots on goal for Little Britain. The Merchants incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Michael Chilvers recorded 20 saves for Georgina. The Ice totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-8 on the power play. For Georgina, McLaughlin was ejected from the game.
