The Lakefield Chiefs survived a determined comeback attempt by the Port Perry Mojacks on the way to a 4-2 win. A goal by Nathan Larson put Lakefield up 4-1 in the second period, but Port Perry pulled to within two on Dakota Watson's tally 1:47 into the third period. The Chiefs were led by Matt Perras, who tallied one goal and one assist. Perras scored 18:23 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Lakefield. Derek Manley assisted on the tally. Lakefield kept the Mojacks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Drew Siydock made 27 saves on 31 shots. Lakefield also got a goal from Jordan Walsh as well. More assists for Lakefield came via Curtis Bolton, Ryan Anderson, Dalton Hill, Eric Shewell, and Ryan Saunders, who contributed one a piece. Port Perry also got points from Nick Loyst, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Lucas Berkers and Kyler Challis, who each chipped in one. Dustin Cook made 25 saves for the Chiefs on 27 shots. Lakefield incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Port Perry incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Mojacks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Anders Neilsen was ejected from the game.
