Uxbridge takes care of Port Perry early, wins 6-2Scugog Memorial Arena Sun, Oct 21, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Uxbridge Bruins opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 6-2 over the Port Perry Mojacks. Uxbridge was led by Shane Smith, who finished with one goal. Smith scored 41 seconds into the first period to make the score 2-0 Uxbridge. Raymond Auld provided the assist. Uxbridge also got points from Patrick Morgan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Uxbridge included Joey Vocino, who had two and Tim Bierema and Justin Bean, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Billy McBeth, Andrew Liboiron, Dylan Locke, Steve Doutsis, and Keegan Cairns, who each chipped in one. Brandon Francey took the win and made 14 saves before being replaced by Wayne Fryer who made zero saves. The Bruins incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Port Perry's starting goalie, Jeff Julien, made zero saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Drew Siydock, who stopped 20 shots. The Mojacks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
