A hat trick by Joey Vocino was the highlight in Bruins' 5-2 win against the Georgina Ice.

Vocino's first goal came 10:52 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:48 into the first and at 10:19 into the third.

The Uxbridge Bruins pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 44 penalty minutes.

Uxbridge also got a goal from Shane Smith as well. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Michael Spataro, Patrick Morgan, Tim Bierema, and Keegan Cairns, who each chipped in one and Callum Lynch and Justin Bean, who contributed two a piece.

Georgina's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Ice finished with 24 penalty minutes. Georgina was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to one goal off of 10 man advantages.

The Ice were helped by Scott Sandercock, who tallied one goal. Sandercock scored on the power play 2:35 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. A tripping penalty on Brandon Francey had put Georgina on the power play. Luke Vanderkooy assisted on the tally. JD Leblond also scored for Georgina. More assists for Georgina came via Devon Smith, who had one.

Uxbridge registered three goals on seven power play opportunities.
