The Georgina Ice had trouble finding ways to stop the Lakefield Chiefs, which beat Ice, 5-1. Lakefield's penalty kill excelled, as the Chiefs gave up one goal despite allowing 14 power plays. Lakefield was led by Tyler Roy, who had one goal. Roy scored 16:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lakefield. Georgina was unable to stop the Chiefs from sending pucks towards the net, and Lakefield eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. The Chiefs was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play. Lakefield's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Chiefs finished with 44 penalty minutes. Lakefield also got points from Curtis Bolton, who also registered one goal and one assist. Matt Perras also scored for Lakefield. In addition, Lakefield received assists from Hayden Lambe and Nathan Larson, who each chipped in one and Eric Shewell and Travis Brault, who contributed two a piece. The Ice were led by Mark McKey, who scored the team's only goal. McKey scored on the power play 2:17 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Lakefield. Georgina earned a power play opportunity when Perras was put in the box for hooking. Brendan Anderson assisted on the tally. Dustin Cook made 20 saves for Lakefield on 21 shots. Jamie Thompson rejected 35 shots on goal for the Ice. Georgina incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. For the Ice, Curtis Puhalski was ejected from the game.
