Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Georgina Ice defeated the Uxbridge Bruins in a shootout 4-3 (1-0 SO).

Georgina saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. The Ice made the score 3-1 on a goal by Scott Sandercock at 2:43 in the third period. Uxbridge evened things up at 3-3 on a goal by Mike Ramsey at 7:44 in the third period.

Sandercock had two goals to lead Georgina to victory.

The Ice could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Luke Vanderkooy also scored for Georgina. In addition, Georgina received assists from Erik Starcevic, JD Leblond, Brett Humbruff, and Curtis Puhalski, who contributed one a piece.

The Bruins were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to one goal off of nine man advantages.

Uxbridge also got a goal from Tim Bierema as well. More assists for Uxbridge came via Billy McBeth, Patrick Morgan, Dylan Locke, Wyatt Trainer, and Korey Brand, who each chipped in one.

Georgina registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Uxbridge incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
