Lambton Shores falls to London in overtime, 5-4 (OT)The Shores Recreation Centre Sat, Feb 23, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The London Nationals' Jonathan Sims scored 27 seconds into overtime to beat the Lambton Shores Predators, 5-4 (OT). Noah Schwartz was all over the ice for London, as he registered two goals in the win. Schwartz found the back of the net on the power play 4:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 London and again while 19:24 into the third to make the score 4-4. The Nationals' offense rang up 37 shots on Lambton Shores' net. London additionally got points from Matt Fuller, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Blake Thomas also scored for London. More assists for London came via Mark Gazdic, Ryan Tuffin, Tyler Bryden, Matt Wildman, and Aaron Dartch, who each chipped in one and Derek Todosichuk and Sean Consitt, who contributed two a piece. The Predators were helped by Keegan Hnatiw, who finished with one goal. Hnatiw scored on the power play 14:33 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Lambton Shores had gained a power play chance when Wildman was whistled for high sticking. Kyle Brothers assisted on the tally. Lambton Shores also got a goal from Bryan Boersma as well. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Dillon Liberty, Brett Thompson, and Cale Duberry, who each chipped in one and Ryan Rontondi and Connor Annett, who contributed two a piece. Taylor Edwards rejected 18 shots on goal for London. The Nationals incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Justin Tugwell recorded 32 saves for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
