Brampton rolls over Guelph, 4-1

The Guelph Hurricanes had trouble finding ways to stop the Brampton Bombers, which beat Hurricanes, 4-1.

Francois Cote had two goals and one assist to lead Brampton. Cote scored the first of his two goals at 19:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brampton. Jake Derkach provided the assist. Cote's next tally made the score 3-1 Brampton with 2:43 left in the second period. Anthony Loveless picked up the assist.

The Bombers were led by goalie Bryan Raymond, who finished with 30 saves while allowing one goal. Raymond managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.81 prior to the game.

Brampton kept Guelph's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason DaSilva made 33 saves on 37 shots.

Brampton also got a goal from Calvin Gomes as well. More assists for Brampton came via Johnathan Glynn, Eric DiCarlo, and Brandon Clelland, who each chipped in one.

The Hurricanes' offense rang up 31 shots on the Bombers' net.

Guelph was led by Craig Martini, who scored the team's only goal. Martini scored on the power play 15:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brampton. A roughing penalty on Matthew Buhagiar (APM) had put the Hurricanes on the power play. Matt Lippa provided the assist.

Brampton incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Guelph incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
