The Chatham Maroons' Ian Faubert scored 2:34 into overtime to beat the Lambton Shores Predators, 6-5 (OT). Chatham came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Maroons fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Lambton Shores' Adam Arseneault at 12:47 in the first period. Chatham knotted things up at 5-5 on a goal by Blake Blondeel at 19:36 in the third period. Blondeel had a great game for the Maroons, netting two goals. Chatham kept the Predators' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon Campbell made 33 saves on 39 shots. The Maroons found themselves short handed often, totaling 28 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays. Chatham also got points from Michael Verboom, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Faubert, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Chatham also got a goal from Oliver Blayne as well. In addition, Chatham received assists from Steven Szekesy, who had two and Ben Pataki, Nate Pietens, Eric Palazzolo, Sean Myers, and Brennan Feasey, who contributed one a piece. Lambton Shores' offense rang up 32 shots on Chatham's net. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Kyle Brothers, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Matteo Ciccarelli also scored for Lambton Shores. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Connor Annett, who had two, Tanner Ferguson, who had three, and Dillon Liberty, Ryan Rontondi, and Brett Thompson, who each chipped in one. Scott Tricker rejected 27 shots on goal for the Maroons. Chatham registered one goal on six power play opportunities. The Predators incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
