Leamington downs London in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Leamington Flyers pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the London Nationals on a clutch goal by Kyle Shaw.

Leamington was led by Shaw, who had one goal and one assist. Shaw scored 2:15 into overtime to make the score 3-2 Leamington.

The Flyers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four London power plays. Leamington kept London's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Dampier made 46 saves on 49 shots.

Leamington also got points from Joe Manchurek, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Leamington also got a goal from Eric Leardi as well. Other players who recorded assists for Leamington were Chris Lugosi and Myles Doan, who contributed one a piece.

The Nationals stifled the Flyers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

London was helped by Aaron Dartch, who racked up one goal. Dartch scored 20 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Sean Consitt also scored for London. In addition, London received assists from Blake Thomas, who had one.

Matt Mancina recorded 23 saves for Leamington. The Flyers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Nationals incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
