Dylan Seguin was all over the ice for the LaSalle Vipers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in LaSalle's 5-1 win over the Strathroy Rockets.

Seguin found the back of the net on the power play 7:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 LaSalle and again while on the power play 12:28 into the second to make the score 3-1 LaSalle.

The Vipers' Taylor Speed was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. Speed certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.3 entering the contest.

Strathroy fell victim to a deadly LaSalle power play, which ripped the Rockets for four goals.

The Vipers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 10 Strathroy power plays. LaSalle forced Strathroy goalie Dalen Kuchmey to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. The Vipers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

LaSalle additionally got points from Dylan Denomme, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Scott Prier, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ben Hanus also scored for LaSalle. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Chad Shepley and Blake Jones, who each chipped in one and Korey Morgan and Eric Noel, who contributed two a piece.

The Rockets could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Strathroy puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game.

The Rockets were led by Trevor Dulong, who scored the team's only goal. Dulong scored 14:50 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Stuart King assisted on the tally.

Dalen Kuchmey made 38 saves for Strathroy on 43 shots. The Rockets ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major. Strathroy ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Wes Baker was ejected from the game.
