Matthew Watson lifted the Strathroy Rockets to a 6-4 victory with a hat trick against the St. Marys Lincolns.

Watson notched his first tally 3:02 into the second period. He then added goals at 5:37 into the second and at 6:35 into the third.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 6:25 into the first period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Strathroy forced St. Marys goalie Jacob Theut to work between the pipes, taking 58 shots. The Rockets outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Strathroy averages 3.3 goals per contest. The Rockets had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on 10 chances. Strathroy got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

Strathroy additionally got points from Tyler Duarte, who also had one goal and one assist and Chase Thornton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Mike Mandarelli also scored for Strathroy. Team's Tyler Bryson, Danny Bryan, and Dylan Bedard were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
