St. Thomas erases deficit to stun Lambton Shores, 4-3

The St. Thomas Stars rallied from three goals down to secure a 4-3 win over the Lambton Shores Predators.

St. Thomas never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Stars was down 3-0 after a power play goal by Lambton Shores' Matteo Ciccarelli at 4:58 in the third period. St. Thomas knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Drew Collinson at 15:08 in the third period. The Stars scored the game winner at 16:26 in the third period on a goal by Collinson.

The Predators were unable to stop St. Thomas from sending pucks towards the net, and the Stars eventually piled up 54 shots on goal.

St. Thomas was helped by Luc Knight, who finished with one goal. St. Thomas additionally got points from Colin Mooney, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Collinson, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mike Iacocca also scored for St. Thomas. In addition, St. Thomas received assists from Cam Garrow, Scott Mitchell, Ian MacDonald, and Michael Lucifora, who contributed one a piece.

Lambton Shores also got a goal from Tanner Ferguson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Jim McKinlay, Austin Fetterly, Dillon Liberty, Ferdinando Colella, and Keegan Hnatiw, who each chipped in one.

Donald Edwards made 22 saves for the Stars on 25 shots. St. Thomas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Justin Tugwell rejected 50 shots on goal for Lambton Shores. The Predators incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
