Brown leads Caledonia over Brampton, 5-0Powerade Centre Fri, Dec 14, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Caledonia Corvairs had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the Brampton Bombers. Caledonia excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Corvairs' defensive effort looked to be improved. Caledonia gives up 2.5 goals on average per game. The Corvairs forced Brampton goalie Erik Angeli to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Caledonia was helped by Mitch Brown, who tallied two goals and one assist. Brown scored the first of his two goals at 14:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Caledonia. Leonard Dziemianko picked up the assist. Brown's next tally made the score 5-0 Caledonia with 44 seconds left in the third period. Brandon Montour assisted on the tally. Caledonia also got points from Dziemianko, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Brier Jonathan also scored for Caledonia. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Greg Christmas, who had one and Dalton Riley and Matt Quilty, who each chipped in two. The Bombers' offense operated below they season average. Brampton puts an average of 2.6 pucks into the net per game. The Corvairs' Mitchell Knight(APJ) stopped 21 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Caledonia incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Angeli rejected 33 shots on goal for the Bombers. Brampton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
