The Listowel Cyclones gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Stratford Cullitons.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Mac Nichol secured the win for Listowel with a goal in the third period.

The Cyclones were paced by Nichol, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Nichol scored 15:06 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Listowel. Scott Pawson assisted on the tally.

Patrick Bell also scored for Listowel. In addition, Listowel received assists from Tanner Mighton, Brandon Preistap, and Jacob Robitaille, who contributed one a piece.

Stratford's offense rang up 35 shots on Listowel's net.

The Cullitons were helped by Mitch Vandergunst, who racked up one goal. Vandergunst scored 4:13 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mitch Brooks picked up the assist. Stratford also got a goal from Ryker Killins as well. More assists for Stratford came via Mike Pleon, Andrew Barton, and Jake Ryan, who each chipped in one.

Drew Reinhardt rejected 33 shots on goal for the Cyclones. Listowel incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nick Caldwell recorded 25 saves for Stratford. The Cullitons incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
