Huge game by Teschke boosts Sarnia over London, 6-3

Jason Teschke had one goal and two assists to lead the Sarnia Legionnaires to a 6-3 victory over the London Nationals.

Teschke scored 6:15 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Sarnia. Thomas Moxley provided the assist. Teschke dished an assist on Davis Boyer's goal that made the score 5-3 Sarnia at 15:59 into the third period. He added another helper on Jeff Bauer's goal that made the score 6-3 Sarnia at 18:47 into the third period.

Sarnia's penalty kill excelled, as the Legionnaires gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Sarnia stifled London's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Legionnaires' goal total was higher than their season average. Sarnia has scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign. The Legionnaires were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Sarnia additionally got points from Josh Kestner, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Nathan Mater, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Bauer, who also had one goal and one assist, and Boyer, who also registered one goal and one assist. Sarnia also got a goal from Steve Farlow as well. In addition, Sarnia received assists from Matt Cimetta, who had two and Hunter Tyczynski and Jeff King, who contributed one a piece.

The Nationals forced Sarnia goalie Sean Parker to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

London was helped by Derek Todosichuk, who finished with one goal. Todosichuk scored 9:56 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Lance Pridham assisted on the tally. Shawn Crowley also scored for London. More assists for London came via Connor Allison, Jonathan Sims, Keaton Ratcliffe, and Robert MacFarlane, who each chipped in one.

Sean Parker made 28 saves for the Legionnaires on 31 shots. Sarnia registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Taylor Edwards recorded 15 saves for the Nationals. London incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
