Behind a great game by Jared Culliton, who had two goals, the Stratford Cullitons defeated the Brampton Bombers, 6-1. Culliton scored on the power play at 3:11 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Stratford and again while 14:49 into the third to make the score 6-0 Stratford.Brampton's power play was ineffective against Stratford's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Cullitons stifled the Bombers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Stratford kept Brampton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Bryan Raymond made 44 saves on 50 shots. Stratford additionally got points from Shane O Brien, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Dylan Wettlaufer, who also had one goal and one assist, and Jake Ryan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Stratford also got a goal from Trevor Sauder as well. Other players who recorded assists for Stratford were Ryan Watson, Mitch Brooks, Trevor MacDonald, and Andrew Barton, who contributed one a piece. Michael Darrigo also scored for Brampton. In addition, Brampton received assists from Jacob Hanlon and Leonard DZIEMIANKO, who each chipped in one. The Cullitons' Nick Caldwell stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Stratford incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Bombers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
