Port Colborne completes comeback, beats Thorold, 4-3Thorold Community Arena Thu, Nov 22, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Port Colborne Pirates climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat the Thorold Blackhawks, 4-3. Port Colborne never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Pirates fell behind 3-0 after a goal by Thorold's Mark Arnone at 11:41 in the second period. Port Colborne tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by DYLAN BURDICK at 17:08 in the second period. The Pirates scored the game winner on the power play at 12:23 in the third period on a goal by BURDICK. Port Colborne was paced by Zack Deconilys, who racked up one goal and one assist. The Pirates forced the Blackhawks goalie Vinny Merante to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Port Colborne additionally got points from Charlie Izaguirre, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Ryan Pilon also scored for Port Colborne.
