The Port Colborne Pirates' Charlie Izaguirre had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-2 win over the Stoney Creek Warriors.

Izaguirre's tallies came at 9:45 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Port Colborne and 10:06 into the second to make the score 2-0 Port Colborne.

Stoney Creek's power play was ineffective against Port Colborne's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Pirates put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Warriors to score on any of their six power plays. Port Colborne forced Stoney Creek goalie Alexander Brooks-Potts to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Port Colborne also got points from Zack Deconilys, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Dayne Phillips, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Dima Lavrenov, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Jordan Warren also scored for Port Colborne. More assists for Port Colborne came via Bryan Komasara, who had two.

The Warriors' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Port Colborne power plays.

Stoney Creek was helped by Alexander Zaccaria, who tallied one goal. Zaccaria scored 25 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-2 Port Colborne. Blake Luscombe picked up the assist. Stoney Creek also got a goal from Marco Mattina as well. Other players who recorded assists for Stoney Creek were Lucas Triemstra and Wesley St. Amand, who each chipped in one.

Morgan Hudson recorded 25 saves for the Pirates. Port Colborne incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Alexander Brooks-Potts made 31 saves for the Warriors on 37 shots. Stoney Creek incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
