LaSalle downs Chatham in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Scott Prier gave the LaSalle Vipers a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Chatham Maroons when he scored 4:20 into the extra period.

LaSalle overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Vipers was down 3-1 after a goal by Chatham's Brennan Feasey at 11:32 in the second period. LaSalle tied things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Eric Noel at 10:39 in the third period.

Brendan McCann had a great game for the Vipers, netting two goals. McCann found the back of the net on the power play 15:39 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Chatham and again while 19:35 into the second to make the score 3-3.

The Maroons were unable to stop LaSalle from sending pucks towards the net, and the Vipers eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

LaSalle additionally got points from Noel, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Richard Villani also scored for LaSalle. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Chad Shepley, who had one, Dylan Denomme, who had two, and Dylan Seguin, who had three.

Chatham could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 48 minutes in penalties during the game.

Chatham also got points from Michael Verboom, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Chatham came via Trevor Richardson, who had two and Steven Szekesy, Alexander Morgan, and Sean Myers, who contributed one a piece.

LaSalle's Taylor Speed stopped 20 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Vipers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Darien Ekblad recorded 43 saves for the Maroons. Chatham registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For the Maroons, Evan Mascaro was ejected from the game.
