The Niagara Falls Canucks took the lead against the Stoney Creek Warriors in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 4-2 victory. Drew Berkel provided Niagara Falls with the game-winning tally when he scored 17:36 into the the first period. The Canucks had gained a power play chance when Wesley St. Amand was whistled for hooking. Frank Nemeth picked up the assist.Berkel had two goals to lead Niagara Falls to victory. The Canucks' penalty kill excelled, as Niagara Falls gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Michael Christou also scored for Niagara Falls. Other players who recorded assists for Niagara Falls were Brad Kri, Cam Stewart, Cole Vinnai, Garrett Gallardi, and Cole Langan, who each chipped in one. Stoney Creek was helped by Jordan Thomas, who finished with one goal. Thomas scored 8:48 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cordell James assisted on the tally. Stoney Creek also got a goal from Jake Bain as well. More assists for Stoney Creek came via Lucas Triemstra and Alexander Zaccaria, who contributed one a piece. Hunter Johnson made 23 saves for the Canucks on 25 shots. Niagara Falls incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Canucks, Gallardi was ejected from the game. Alexander Brooks-Potts rejected 25 shots on goal for the Warriors. Stoney Creek incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Warriors ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Thomas was ejected from the game.
