Caledonia erases deficit to stun Brampton, 4-3Powerade Centre Fri, Nov 02, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Caledonia Corvairs battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over the Brampton Bombers. Caledonia never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Corvairs trailed 3-1 after a goal by Brampton's Tyler Leblanc at 14:51 in the first period. Caledonia knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Tyler Norrie at 13:37 in the second period. The Corvairs scored the game winner at 16:15 in the second period on a goal by Norrie. Caledonia pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 36 penalty minutes. The Corvairs stifled the Bombers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Caledonia kept Brampton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Bryan Raymond made 27 saves on 31 shots. The Corvairs were helped by Connor Murphy, who registered one goal. Caledonia also got a goal from Brier Jonathan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Caledonia were Dalton Riley, who had two and Fabrizio Ricci, Greg Christmas, Brandon Montour, and Matt Quilty, who contributed one a piece. The Bombers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Caledonia power plays. Brampton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. The Bombers were led by Francois Cote, who tallied one goal and one assist. Cote scored 6:14 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brampton. Brendan Lyons picked up the assist. Eric DiCarlo also scored for Brampton. In addition, Brampton received assists from Jacob Hanlon, Brady Clouthier, and Kurt Wolff, who each chipped in one. Justis Husak made 21 saves for Caledonia on 24 shots. Brampton registered zero goals on eight power play opportunities.
