DeMarco, Parker lead Fort Erie over Niagara Falls, 7-3

Behind one goal and two assists from Richard DeMarco and three goals and one assist from Jesse Parker, the Fort Erie Meteors downed the Niagara Falls Canucks 7-3.

DeMarco scored 17:35 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Fort Erie. Parker picked up the assist.

Fort Erie's offense rang up 34 shots on Niagara Falls' net. The Meteors surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Fort Erie averages 2.9 goals per game.

Fort Erie additionally got points from Parker, who also registered three goals and one assist to lead the team in points, Anthony Passero, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Nik Passero, who also had one goal and two assists, and Aaron Wanat, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Fort Erie were Austin Carroll, who had two and Josh Micallef, Brandon Boic, and Jonathan England, who contributed one a piece.

The Canucks kept the Meteors' goalie busy throughout the game, and Wyatt Pickrell made 32 saves on 35 shots.

Niagara Falls was led by Drew Berkel, who had two goals. Berkel scored the first of his two goals at 8:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Niagara Falls. Cole Vinnai provided the assist. Berkel's next tally made the score 2-0 Niagara Falls with 1:24 left in the first period. The Canucks had gained a power play chance when Riley Devine was whistled for too many men. Garrett Gallardi picked up the assist. Cam Stewart also scored for Niagara Falls. In addition, Niagara Falls received assists from Darren Young, who had one and Frank Nemeth, who had two.

Fort Erie incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Niagara Falls' Dylan Pietrangelo stopped 27 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Canucks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
