London downs Chatham, 4-0

Noah Schwartz finished with two points to lead the London Nationals to a 4-0 victory over the Chatham Maroons.

London excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Nationals' defensive play was more effective than usual against Chatham. London averages 3.0 goals allowed per game.

London also got points from Blake Thomas, who also tallied one goal and one assist. London also got a goal from Ryan Wells as well. Other players who recorded assists for London were Aaron Dartch, who had two and Matt Simsons, Mitchell Vande Sompel, Ryan Tuffin, and Derek Todosichuk, who each chipped in one.

The Maroons were held below their usual level of production. Chatham puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game.

The Nationals' Taylor Edwards stopped 23 shots out of the 23 that he faced. London totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For the Nationals, Paxton Leroux was ejected from the game. Darien Ekblad made 25 saves for the Maroons on 29 shots. Chatham ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. The Maroons ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Alexander Morgan was ejected from the game.
