LaSalle's Noel deadly on offense in 3-1 win against Strathroy

Eric Noel had two goals to lead the LaSalle Vipers to a 3-1 victory over the Strathroy Rockets.

Noel scored on the power play at 11:54 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 1:12 into the third to make the score 3-1 LaSalle.

LaSalle excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Strathroy was unable to stop the Vipers from sending pucks towards the net, and LaSalle eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

LaSalle also got points from Scott Prier, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Dylan Denomme, who had two and Korey Morgan, Ben Hanus, and Dylan Seguin, who contributed one a piece.

The Rockets forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 11 minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. Strathroy had been averaging 26.0 minutes in penalties per game.

The Rockets were led by Tyler Duarte, who scored the team's only goal. Duarte scored 13:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Strathroy. Nick Boyer assisted on the tally.

Taylor Speed recorded 15 saves for the Vipers. LaSalle incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Strathroy's Gordie Weiss stopped 38 shots out of the 41 that he faced. For the Rockets, Micheal Woolley was ejected from the game.
