St. Catharines uses fast start to beat Buffalo, 8-0Buffalo State College Arena Tue, Oct 23, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Buffalo Jr. Blades fell behind early, and the St. Catharines Falcons kept piling on the points on the way to an 8-0 victory. St. Catharines was sparked by Jesse Miller, who finished with one goal. Miller scored 16 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Catharines. Braeden Kavaravtzis provided the assist. The Falcons stifled Buffalo's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Catharines' offense rang up 50 shots on the Jr. Blades' net. St. Catharines additionally got points from Ben Walsh, who also registered two goals and one assist, Kyle Woodhouse, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Greg Jambrosich, who also had one goal and one assist. Jacob Parasutto-APM also scored for St. Catharines. More assists for St. Catharines came via Spencer DeWolfe, who had two, Luke Karaim, who had three, and Jimmy Sheehan, Brady Allen, Tyler Jackson, Marcus Del Conte, Mitch Bursey, and Anthony Pullia, who contributed one a piece. Del Conte recorded 22 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brandon Klein made 42 saves for Buffalo on 50 shots. The Jr. Blades incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
