Luke Karaim was all over the ice for the St. Catharines Falcons, as he tallied two goals and two assists in St. Catharines' 6-2 win over the Niagara Falls Canucks. Karaim scored at 10:02 into the third period to make the score 5-2 St. Catharines and again while 12:45 into the third to make the score 6-2 St. Catharines.Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 10:52 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. The Falcons stifled Niagara Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Catharines kept the Canucks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Hunter Johnson made 50 saves on 56 shots. St. Catharines additionally got points from Ben Walsh, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Andy Sturtz, who also had one goal and one assist. Spencer DeWolfe also scored for St. Catharines. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Mitch Bursey, who had two and Jimmy Sheehan, Kyle Woodhouse, Greg Jambrosich, Yanni Rallis, and Dan MacEachern, who each chipped in one. Niagara Falls could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Canucks average 5.3 goals per game. Niagara Falls was helped by Derek Dallman, who racked up one goal. Dallman scored 4:52 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Cam Stewart assisted on the tally. Niagara Falls also got a goal from Cole Vinnai as well. More assists for Niagara Falls came via Darren Young, who had one. The Falcons' Jonathon D Ilario stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. St. Catharines totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. The Falcons ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Koddi Quick was ejected from the game. The Canucks totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-4 on the power play. For Niagara Falls, Tory McLean was ejected from the game.
