The Leamington Flyers' Alex Seguin had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 9-4 win over the St. Thomas Stars. Seguin found the back of the net 4:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Leamington and again while 7:08 into the second to make the score 3-1 Leamington.Leamington forced St. Thomas' goaltenders to work all game long, finishing with 38 shots and forcing 29 saves. Tynan Lauziere made 15 stops and Luke Bierworth made 14. The Flyers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Leamington outdid its season average for goals scored. The Flyers average 3.9 goals per game. Leamington also got points from David Dalby, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kyle Bowman, who also had one goal and one assist, and Tony Spidalieri, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Leamington included Mitch Graham, who had one and Joe Manchurek, who had two. In addition, Leamington received assists from Eric Leardi, who had two and Brett Babkirk, Bryce Doan, Riley Babkirk, and Dakota Olvin, who contributed one a piece. Leamington was unable to stop the Stars from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Thomas eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The Stars were helped by Mike Iacocca, who finished with one goal and one assist. Iacocca scored 15:31 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Braden Hellems provided the assist.
