Bannermon's goals lift Cambridge to 4-0 victory over Guelph

Todd Bannermon had two goals to lead the Cambridge Winter Hawks to a 4-0 victory over the Guelph Hurricanes.

Bannermon found the back of the net on the power play 8:35 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Cambridge and again while on the power play 14:34 into the second to make the score 2-0 Cambridge.

Cambridge stifled Guelph's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Winter Hawks' defense was surprisingly good. Cambridge averages 2.4 goals allowed per game.

Cambridge also got points from Cody Gratton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Cambridge also got a goal from Christian Barnard as well. Other players who recorded assists for Cambridge were Trevor Hache, who had two and Brandon Plourde, Mitch Facey, Andrew Coupland, Lawrence Pagnan, and Anthony Guido, who contributed one a piece.

Mitch Figueirdo made 18 saves for the Winter Hawks on 18 shots. Cambridge incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Lee Doherty rejected 23 shots on goal for the Hurricanes. Guelph incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
