Jason Lacroix finished with one point to lead the Welland Jr. Canadians to a 2-1 victory over the Stoney Creek Warriors.

Welland stifled Stoney Creek's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Jr. Canadians forced the Warriors goalie Alexander Brooks-Potts to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Welland also got a goal from Cole McKnight as well. Other players who recorded assists for Welland were Kyle Phibbs, Chris Brown, Braden Curry, and Ryan Migliaccio, who each chipped in one.

Stoney Creek put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Welland to score on any of its five power plays.

The Warriors were led by Ryan Lewis, who scored the team's only goal. Lewis scored 11:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stoney Creek. Alexander Zaccaria provided the assist.

Chris McDougall rejected 24 shots on goal for the Jr. Canadians. Welland incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brooks-Potts recorded 30 saves for Stoney Creek. The Warriors incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
