The London Nationals came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the St. Marys Lincolns, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory. London led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Nationals' Noah Schwartz's scored at 15:27 in the second period to put London up 3-0. Schwartz had a great game for the Nationals, netting two goals. London pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 17 penalty minutes. The Nationals forced St. Marys goalie Devin Golets to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. London had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances. London also got a goal from Jonathan Sims as well. In addition, London received assists from Blake Thomas, who had two and Lance Pridham, Ryan Wells, Matt Simsons, Mark Gazdic, Scott Lombardi, and Derek Todosichuk, who contributed one a piece. The Lincolns were helped by Reid Oliver, who finished with one goal. Oliver scored on the power play 5:59 into the third period to make the score 3-2 London. St. Marys had gained a power play chance when Shawn Crowley was whistled for slashing. Marcus Gverzdys assisted on the tally. Dean Pawlaczky also scored for St. Marys. Other players who recorded assists for St. Marys were Calvin Penney, Sean Consitt, and Jonathan Rizzo, who each chipped in one. Taylor Edwards rejected 25 shots on goal for the Nationals. For London, Matt Ross was ejected from the game. Golets recorded 30 saves for the Lincolns. St. Marys totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. The Lincolns ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kyle Flemington was ejected from the game.
