The Strathroy Rockets failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the Lambton Shores Predators shook off a number of penalties to win, 6-2.

Lambton Shores was sparked by Matthew Lencz, who tallied one goal. Lencz scored 14:07 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Lambton Shores. Connor Annett assisted on the tally.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 20:00 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with five game misconducts.

The Predators were often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and two majors for 56 minutes in penalty time. Lambton Shores had been averaging 25.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Predators made Rockets' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 38 shots and forcing 32 saves. Dalen Kuchmey made 20 stops and Gordie Weiss made 12. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Austin Fetterly, who also registered one goal and one assist and Kyle Brothers, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Lambton Shores also had goals scored by Keegan Hnatiw, who had one and Adam Arseneault, who had two. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Ryan Rontondi and Matteo Ciccarelli, who each chipped in one and Jim McKinlay and Tanner Ferguson, who contributed two a piece.

Strathroy racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 10 minors and two majors for 30 minutes in penalty time. The Rockets surpassed its season average of 26.0 penalty minutes per game. Lambton Shores was unable to stop Strathroy from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rockets eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Strathroy was led by Nick Boyer, who racked up one goal and one assist. Boyer scored on the power play 17:59 into the first period to make the score 2-2. The Rockets had taken the advantage when the Predators' McKinlay got sent off for slashing. Kurtis Sander picked up the assist. Tyler Duarte also scored for Strathroy. More assists for Strathroy came via Blake ONeill and Ryan Field, who each chipped in one.

Brandon Campbell recorded 33 saves for Lambton Shores. The Predators registered three goals on eight power play opportunities. For Lambton Shores, Kyler Keating, Ferguson, and Arseneault were ejected from the contest. Strathroy registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Team's Micheal Woolley and Brett Dyck were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
