Taylor Speed had a standout game with 29 saves, and the LaSalle Vipers beat the Strathroy Rockets 2-1.

LaSalle was led by Nathan Savage, who registered one goal. Savage scored on the power play 10:50 into the third period to make the score 2-1 LaSalle. The Vipers earned a power play opportunity when Ryan Field was put in the box for boarding. Blake Jones assisted on the tally.

LaSalle's offense rang up 38 shots on Strathroy's net.

Evan Makaric also scored for LaSalle. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Graeme Brown, who had two.

The Rockets were led by Chase Thornton, who scored the team's only goal. Thornton scored on the power play 13:31 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Strathroy. A hooking penalty on Chris Pignanelli had put Strathroy on the power play. Max Naus provided the assist.

The Vipers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Dalen Kuchmey recorded 36 saves for the Rockets. Strathroy incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
