Brampton falls apart in second, loses to Elmira, 10-0

The Brampton Bombers was within striking distance after one period, but the Elmira Sugar Kings put the pedal down in the second en route to a 10-0 victory.

Cash Seraphim had one goal and two assists to lead Elmira. Seraphim scored 4:51 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Elmira. Jake Weidner provided the assist.

The Sugar Kings made Bombers' goaltenders to work without much rest, getting 39 shots and forcing 29 saves. Erik Angeli made 22 stops and Bryan Raymond made seven. Elmira found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Sugar Kings average 4.2 goals per game.

Elmira also got points from Brady Campbell, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Cass Frey, who also had one goal and two assists, Zac Coulter, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Weidner, who also registered one goal and one assist. Elmira also got a goal from Brodie Whitehead as well. Other players who recorded assists for Elmira were Craig Johnson, who had two and Justin Cooke, Matt Pascuzzo, Adam Brubacher, Adam Dauda, and Brandon Stewart, who each chipped in one.

Brampton could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Bombers average 2.8 goals per game.

Elmira's Hayden Neuman stopped 20 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Sugar Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Brampton incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and had no power play opportunities.
