Sarnia falls to Lambton Shores in overtime, 3-2 (OT)Sarnia Arena Thu, Sep 20, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lambton Shores Predators pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Sarnia Legionnaires on a clutch goal by Kyle Brothers. Lambton Shores came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Predators fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Sarnia's Jason Teschke at 6:16 in the second period. Lambton Shores knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Dillon Liberty at 16:38 in the second period. The Predators' penalty kill excelled, as Lambton Shores gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. The Predators stifled the Legionnaires' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lambton Shores kept Sarnia's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Parker made 31 saves on 34 shots. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Adam Arseneault, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Kyler Keating, Matteo Ciccarelli, and Connor Annett, who contributed one a piece. The Legionnaires put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Predators to score on any of their nine power plays. Lambton Shores was unable to stop Sarnia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Legionnaires eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Sarnia also got a goal from Josh Kestner as well.
