The game between the London Nationals and the Lambton Shores Predators was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end London emerged with a 6-5 win. The Nationals gained the winning advantage on a goal by Aaron Dartch 6:42 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. London got the win with help from a great game by Dartch, who had two goals and one assist. Dartch scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 10:46 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Nationals had taken the advantage when Lambton Shores' Bryan Boersma got sent off for interference. Lance Pridham picked up the assist. Dartch's next tally on the power play made the score 6-5 London with 13:18 left in the third period. Pridham provided the assist. London found itself short handed often, totaling 39 penalty minutes and allowing 10 power plays. London also got points from Shawn Crowley, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Paul Hopkins, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Ryan Tuffin, who also racked up two goals and one assist. In addition, London received assists from Derek Todosichuk, who had one and Noah Schwartz, who had two. The Predators forced the Nationals goalie Taylor Edwards to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Lambton Shores was helped by Ferdinando Colella, who grabbed one goal. Colella scored on the power play 18:47 into the second period to make the score 3-3. The Predators had gained a power play chance when Pridham was whistled for slashing. Kyle Brothers assisted on the tally. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Brothers, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lambton Shores also got a goal from Dillon Liberty as well. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Adam Wammes, Kyler Keating, Matteo Ciccarelli, Connor Annett, Adam Arseneault, and Keegan Hnatiw, who each chipped in one. Edwards recorded 27 saves for London. The Nationals registered three goals on six power play opportunities. For London, Ryan Wells was ejected from the game. Lambton Shores' Justin Tugwell stopped 19 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Predators ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. Lambton Shores ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Rontondi was ejected from the game.
