St. Marys holds on for 5-4 win against Lambton Shores

The Lambton Shores Predators tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the St. Marys Lincolns held on for a 5-4 victory.

St. Marys made the score 5-3 on a goal by Jonathan Rizzo at 7:02 in the third period, and Lambton Shores got as close as 5-4 when Kyle Brothers scored 13:23 into the third period.

Rizzo had two goals to lead the Lincolns to victory.

The defensemen of St. Marys were also effective in the Predators' zone, and came away with two goals.

St. Marys also got a goal from Dean Pawlaczky as well. More assists for St. Marys came via Reid Oliver, who had three and Kurtis Lavis, Tyler Bryson, David Sproat, and Matt Tsioros, who contributed one a piece.

The Lincolns were unable to stop Lambton Shores from sending pucks towards the net, and the Predators eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Kyler Keating also scored for Lambton Shores. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Adam Wammes and Cale Duberry, who each chipped in one and Ryan Rontondi and Adam Arseneault, who contributed three a piece.

Craig Wood made 29 saves for St. Marys on 33 shots. The Lincolns incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Lambton Shores' Brandon Campbell stopped 23 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Predators incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
