The Quad City Jr. Flames tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Queen City Steam held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Stephen Pack put Queen City up 3-0 in the third period, but Quad City pulled to within one on Easton Halbert's tally 12:14 into the third period.

The Steam's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Quad City power plays.

Queen City additionally got points from Paul McAvoy, who also registered one goal and one assist. Queen City also got a goal from Trevor Voelker as well. More assists for Queen City came via Henry Smith, who had one and Lucas McCammant, who had two.

The Jr. Flames kept Queen City's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alec Rounds made 33 saves on 35 shots.

Tanner Litvinoff also scored for Quad City. Other players who recorded assists for Quad City were DJ Mussey, Peter Coppola, and Anthony Caroselli, who each chipped in one.

The Steam incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Quad City's Jake Leon stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Jr. Flames incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
