Anderson leads Peoria over Battle Creek, 5-2

The Peoria Mustangs' Brennan Anderson had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 5-2 win over the Battle Creek Revolution.

Anderson scored 20 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-0 Peoria. Austin Wisely provided the assist. Anderson dished an assist on Wisely's goal that made the score 2-0 Peoria at 10:09 into the first period. He added another helper on Lyndon Fields's goal that made the score 4-0 Peoria at 9:37 into the second period.

Battle Creek's power play was ineffective against Peoria's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Mustangs' offense rang up 44 shots on the Revolution's net.

Peoria additionally got points from Wisely, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Alexander Turin also scored for Peoria. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Nikolas Sakellaropoulos, Kevin Piskie, and Cody Lichtenvoort, who contributed one a piece.

Peoria was unable to stop Battle Creek from sending pucks towards the net, and the Revolution eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Battle Creek was helped by Cory Markovich, who had one goal. Markovich scored 10:31 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Peoria. Stephen Comperchi picked up the assist. Battle Creek also got points from Comperchi, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Battle Creek came via Joey Lioy, Zach Rees, and Kyle Ward, who each chipped in one.

Michael Parda rejected 31 shots on goal for the Mustangs. Peoria incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Hughes recorded 39 saves for the Revolution. Battle Creek incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
