Battle Creek's Clark deadly on offense in 3-0 win against Quad City

The Battle Creek Revolution relied on the scoring touch of Tevor Clark, who netted two goals, to beat the Quad City Jr. Flames, 3-0.

Clark found the back of the net 1:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Battle Creek and again while on the power play 1:57 into the third to make the score 2-0 Battle Creek.

Hughes frustrated Quad City's offense all game, and stopped 40 shots en route to a shutout. Hughes managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 5.08 prior to the game.

Battle Creek put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Jr. Flames to score on any of their four power plays. The Revolution forced Quad City goalie Jake Leon to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Battle Creek also got points from Joshua Kimber, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Battle Creek came via Jacob Rosek and Zach Rees, who each chipped in one.

Battle Creek was unable to stop the Jr. Flames from sending pucks towards the net, and Quad City eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

The Revolution incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Jr. Flames' Leon stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Quad City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
